I've not this behavior with two editions of 5.0.9344 which can be replicated on my Macbook Pro with 4gb of RAM as well as my iMac with 8gb of RAM. Even with a clean install of XP PRO SP3 or Windows7 Ultima the resume hangs if from a suspend from the previous day. If I try to resume shortly after a suspend everything is great...fast and responsive guest OS which is the most amazing improvement for 5.x, but... It seems if the guest OS is suspended over night then it will not resume. The screen runs up to 100%, hands and all options are greyed out on the menu bar...so I cannot reset or such from there. The only work around I have found is to kill the prl_vm_app in the activity monitor which will not all the system to start...as the suspend has been killed. I recently did a fresh installs of 5.0 (via a 4.0 upgrade path) on a brand new iMac and the symptoms started showing up on day 2...so something is up with the parallels tools or 5.0 in general Again maybe the key for me this as I have a box purchase of 4.x and have an upgrade path of 5.x on both systems...and two licenses!
