Hello Probably a really basic question, but is it possible to run on the same Mac using Parallels, Lion and Snow Leopard? With Lion as the 'main/primary' OS and Snow Leopard as the secondary? I need Snow Leopards Rosetta feature for certain applications. Possible? Is anyone using Parallels for this purpose? Thank you
You want to run both Mac OSes at the same time? If so you better have a good amount of RAM and a pretty decent CPU. I rarely run more the. One VM at a time since I don't have a reason to need them running all the time.
Yes, you can. Given enough host machine resources, you can run multiple VMs at one time. My bragging point is simultaneous: Windows 7 Windows 8.1 Preview Snow Leopard Server Mountain Lion Mavericks Developer Preview
I have actually every version of Windows, from Windows 95 to 8. Ubuntu 32b&64b, OpenSuse, OSX 10.7 & 10.8, Android, ChromeOS, but rarely run more than 2 at a time, although with a Mac Pro with loads of memory could technically open up most, if not all. Usually I run 1-2 at a time depending on what I am doing. Lately havent been using a VM except for once in a while or testing out running my own web page using Ubuntu.
