Has anyone found a way to get RSS feeds to work in Explorer 7? When I click the RSS icon, I get the following message every time:- 'Internet Explorer cannot display this feed. Internet Explorer requires you to have MSXML3 SP5 or greater in order to view feeds. Download the latest version of MSXML3 to solve this issue.' Needless to say, I've tried this but it has not solved this issue. TIA
Hi! I had the same problem on my XP rig and found it impossible to find any info on this error on the web, so I did some debugging of my own. It seems that this problem resides in some other software registering as default XML parser on the system. This could be due to installing third party news/rss readers, developing tools or similar. The workaround is quite simple, though: 1. Press "alt" key when in IE7 if you don't have "Menu Bar" always visible and then click on "Tools/Internet Options" 2. Activate "Advanced" tab 3. in the "Settings" box scroll down to the "Security" section 4. uncheck "Enable native XMLHTTP support" 5. hit "Apply" button and restart IE7 RSS feeds should now work. Hope this helps, Best, MyK.
