ROOKIE QUESTION: Can I trust that updating host OS won't affect VM OS?

My reason for installing Parallels on my Mac is because I use an animation program (Studio Artist by Synthetik Software) that will not be supported past Sequoia... and there are reports that Tahoe is breaking Studio Artist. Right now I have identical Sequoia 15.7.1 on both host and VM; and I have moved Studio Artist into the VM for testing there. It seems to be working fine there.

Since i am new to Parallels, I am also taking my time so I understand how to use it
(shared drives, shared folders, external drives, networks, the limitations of Parallels in my Apple Silicon machine, etc).

My planned next step is to upgrade the host OS to Tahoe
so I can enjoy normal OS uprgades over the years. And my question is: is the integrity of the VM OS perfect? Will anything I do with the host OS cause a change that could "break" the programs I run inside the Sequoia VM? Will Rosetta continue to work in Sequoia, even if it is eventually discontinued from the host OS?

Obviously I am being super cautious... and much of this is because I have a weak understanding of what goes on under the hood of Parallels. My Studio Artist animation program is a bedrock of my creative work... so I have to get this right... and need it to be right for years to come.

    many thanks,
    Victor
