I have read many threads trying to see if this has been resolved... so here goes: I use P8 (Revision 823166; December 4, 2012) on my MBP Retina 15in and run Windows 7 with the Video option set to 'best for Retina'. Got used to seeing the 199% scaling of text vs. no scaling of images, which is a sad state of affairs, but usable for my purposes. When I use an additional external display and extend my desktop, the Windows scaling is automatically set to 100% on the external display (this works beautifully), even when I have a window spanning both screens. Quite funky to see how this works. However, when I connect my MBP to my external display in mirrored mode (using only the external display) the windows apps stay in 199% scaling mode and everything looks large. I have to change all the settings to 'more space' instead of 'best for retina', log out of windows and restart to make it look 'normal'. Then, when undocking my laptop, I have to reverse the procedure again. This is quite annoying, since my setup requires me to disconnect the laptop from my external monitor quite often... Wondering if this is a bug, or something I am doing wrong?
