Restricted access to certain site areas

I would like to have an area of my site which is only accessible with a password (distributed to those I decide to) or to users who are registered and approved by me. Is this possible? Thanks.

 

sure is this possible, but i think you are completly wrong here ...
ask your hosting provider ...

 

I would also like to set up a passworded 'member's only' area on my site. Is that possible? How is it done/
