Problem: If I want to print from a Windows application I have to re-do the printer setup every time I start Parallels with Windows XP. I’m using BonJour to set up the printer as indicated in the sticky thread. Following the BonJour printer installation I have to go the Windows control panel and figure out which of the now proliferating number of printer drivers is the “right†one by trying to print a test page. Once I’ve identified which printer driver works I then point the windows application to use that printer, which works just fine. The problem is I have to do this EVERY time when I start up Parallels.

    Here’s my set up:

    Computer—Mac Pro 2.66 GHz, OSX (10.4.8)

Parallels—Version 1970 with Windows XP Home edition w/SP 2. USB Auto detect is turned on.

Printer—Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4050 connected to the computer using a parallel to USB conversion cable, printer sharing is enabled in OSX.

    Any recommendations appreciated,

    Thanks in advance.
