    Hey,

My Windows 7 install in Parallels 7 running on Snow Leopard keeps putting a share in the Finder sidebar with the name of the machine. I have no use for it – how can I remove it without disabling access to Mac folders from within the Windows VM?

I would very much like to know the answer to this question as well.

VM Configuration>Options>Sharing>Share Windows>Uncheck 'Mount Virtual Disks on Mac Desktop' and 'Access Windows Folders from Mac'.

Additionally, you can right click on the sidebar and choose 'Open Sidebar Preferences', there you can disable the items you don't want to see.
