Folks... I am a reasonably new user to the Mac world, so my question might seem simple. It would be GREAT if the Parallels folks could chime in here with an straightforward answer.

I want to RemoteDesktop INTO my Windows session on my Mac Pro (Parallels5). On my Windows Laptop (at home on same network), it was very simple to set up port 3389 (Remote Desktop) and assign it to my laptop's IP address. (FYI I simply used dynDNS to set up a virtual IP and can either hit the domain or IP of that machine from anywhere in the world.

How do I perform that same procedure to hit the Windows session on the Mac? I assigned this machine to port 3390 (also remote desktop), but it doesnt connect.

I guess my level of confusion coms in when I try to find the IP address of my Parallels VM. My windows desktop has a fixed IP address of 192.168.1.20 on my network. My Mac has an fixed IP address of 192.168.1.30 --- how do I get that similar address for my Parallels VM that sits on the Mac? Maybe there's some sort of configuration (subnet, etc) that has to be done WITHIN Parallels to recognize the Windows session for Remote Desktop purposes?

Maybe I'm just missing it, but I just cannot seem to get it.

    Thank You for the Help

    Hi,
You need to try Bridged Networking instead of current Shared
