I want to reinstall Xp into the existing virtual machine i had working on my system, this Vm has 4 Virtual disks set up and the dats on them is important to me, so the hope is that i can reinstall XP onto the C drive and them reload the necessary application to use the saved data.

My first problem is that i do not get the option to boot from the CD Drive although the drive is CONNECTED to the VM,

When the XP disk is recognized after the boot process i get and option to reinstall XP which i select but because the version of XP on the VM is newer it doesn't allow the reload of XP to continue.

How do I solve this conundrum please?
