1- I succesfully installed Paralles and Vista Ultimate onto my macbook that had a single user account.
2- I later added another user account to the mac.
3- The new user account could not "see" the existing Parallels application that was installed on the original account so I decided to start from scratch in hopes that both accounts can "see" the Parallels application.
4- I did an uninstall of Parallels, which was confirmed.
5- I then trashed the Parallels folder that remained in my applications folder from the above mentioned previous install.
6- I emptied my trash and I then retstarted.
7- I inserted the Parallels disk and followed the instructions to install the application onto my Hard Disk as if staring from scratch.
8- I received a warning: "the chosen volume contains software which is newer than the software you are installing". I cliked "continue"
9- The next window stated: "Click install to perform a basic installation of software package on the volume "hard drive"". I then clicked "install".
10- The next window stated "you cannot continue. there is nothing to install".

Please help. I need to reinstall Paralles ASAP.

    Thanks

Open up hardrive/library/receipts and delete the parallels installer reciept.that should allow a reinstall without the "nothing to install" error.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to solve the problem by downlaoding an updated version from the website. This automaticly restored the Parallels folder & program I had deleted.
