Redirected to the login screen again.

We have the following problem and hoping that someone can help is whit this issue.

When people are logged in to the 2x webinterface and they are working for some time the start a next application and are redirected to the login screen again. After they login everything is working fine but it’s beeing a big complain.

We think it’s related to IIS and the defaultapplication pool but offcourse we can be wrong. We checked the settings of the default application pool and disabled the inactive setting so that that the w3wp.exe should stay active. (no evidence that it doesn’t).

Still users get kikked out of there web session and have to reenter there userid and password to login to the 2x portal again.

Have somebody the same problems? Is this by desgin?

The session timeout can be modified from IIS:

1) Open IIS
2) Find 2XWebService, right click, and select properties
3) In the Virtual Directory tab press the Configuration Button. This
should open the Application Configuration dialog
4) From the Application Configuration go to the Options tab.
5) In the session timeout text field enter the new value. (Default 20 Min)
6) Similarly change the session timeout value for the 2XWebPortal too.

Please note that the session timeout of the 2XWebservice and of the
2XWebPortal must be identical.
