After installing Ubuntu with the ISO image located on my desktop, I'm getting the following dialog message no matter which workstation I launch: "Unable to open device/file Default CD/DVD-ROM" I have both WinXP and Ubuntu and both report the same message upon bootup.
Check to see what you have selected for one of your: "CD/DVD-ROM ?" devices in your property page or in the "Devices -> CD/DVD ROM ?" menu. If you have the "Default CD/DVD-ROM" selected and you don't have a CD/DVD in the physical drive that message seems to be normal. When there is a CD/DVD in the drive I don't get that message. If you don't have the Default CD/DVD-ROM selected for one of your devices then not sure why you are getting it. -Rich
