Hi, I had a kernel panic with the RC and after the restart all dock and desktop preferences were gone. Also a few files were full of garbage instead of my data. Be very carefull! And I liked the old application logo better. greets philipp Edit: the rest of the GUI looks much better now, great work on that!
sorry, I don't know what I have done before the panic happned but I still have the panic.log: Thu May 18 23:29:42 2006 panic(cpu 1 caller 0x0019CAEF): Unresolved kernel trap (CPU 1, Type 14=page fault), registers: CR0: 0x8001003b, CR2: 0x00000028, CR3: 0x00d5d000, CR4: 0x000006a0 EAX: 0x0008f422, EBX: 0x00000006, ECX: 0x00000000, EDX: 0x3d138e00 ESP: 0x00000028, EBP: 0x24ddba44, ESI: 0x00000005, EDI: 0x3d140a68 EFL: 0x00010006, EIP: 0x3d1365cc, CS: 0x00000014, DS: 0x24dd0010 Backtrace, Format - Frame : Return Address (4 potential args on stack) 0x24ddb8c4 : 0x128b5e (0x3bbeb8 0x24ddb8e8 0x131bbc 0x0) 0x24ddb904 : 0x19caef (0x3c1340 0x1 0xe 0x3c10f8) 0x24ddb9b4 : 0x197b53 (0x24ddb9c8 0x24ddba44 0x3d1365cc 0x34b0048) 0x24ddb9c0 : 0x3d1365cc (0x34b0048 0x10 0x4130010 0x24dd0010) 0x24ddba44 : 0x3d135073 (0x5 0x1 0x3d140a68 0x24ddba78) 0x24ddba64 : 0x3d135014 (0x24ddba70 0x10 0x10 0x63216e75) 0x24ddbb08 : 0x3d13d94a (0x24ddbbe0 0x24ddbb88 0x3d11d0a4 0x2) 0x24ddbbb8 : 0x3d13f5aa (0x3d13f73d 0x24ddbbe0 0x24ddbbe8 0x24ddbdf0) 0x24ddbbd8 : 0x3d13f611 (0x5 0x0 0x0 0x0) 0x24ddbbf8 : 0x3d13f37c (0x24ddbc2c 0xb011ed68 0x108 0x0) 0x24ddbd68 : 0x3d13d567 (0x555f884 0xc0185405 0x24ddbed8 0x16bfac) 0x24ddbd88 : 0x1e3d72 (0xd000000 0xc0185405 0x24ddbed8 0x81) 0x24ddbdc8 : 0x1dac2e (0x24ddbdf0 0x297 0x24ddbe28 0x1c4423) 0x24ddbe28 : 0x1d29c3 (0x4659ad4 0xc0185405 0x24ddbed8 0x81) 0x24ddbe78 : 0x32550f (0x3caa060 0xc0185405 0x24ddbed8 0x49a03e8) 0x24ddbea8 : 0x343849 (0x3caa060 0xc0185405 0x24ddbed8 0x49a03e8) Backtrace continues... Hi, Philipp Can you tell what is a test case of the kernel panic? What did you do to crash the Parallels? If I understand right the kernel panic occurs after guest power on or restart. Am I correct? Is the bug reproducable or it happened one time? Best regards, Alexey Parallels Inc.
