Using a MacBookPro, I am constantly using the Location feature to change network settings based on physical location. Now, Virtual PC didn't care and always used the default setting to keep the networking operational. Parallels on the other hand, require me to shutdonw and reconfigure everytime the host networking environment changes. It is a lot more "techie" than it should be. This needs to be a seemless operation for the user. For me, the worst part is each time I change location, PW keeps breaking my LOCAL network mappings. If I map to my local drive, PW shouldn't care what external network connection I have...it should still perserve my local settings. Even the Share Folders feature doesn't work right. If you suspend the VM and relaunch it, even with the exact same Location setting, the Shared Folders reports an error. There has to be some way to easily preserve the mapping from the guest to host, prior to release.
