when in the vm working on quicken 2007: when I attach a flashdrive to restore to backup, windows does not detect the usb flashdrive. to test I noted that in the imac environment as in iphoto there is not problem copying to the drive. Although the icon for the flashdrive is present on the imac desktop, windows does not detect it. help. how can backup or restore my files with a flashdrive?
Have you gone to Parallels 'Devices' settings, and checked that your flash drive is listed, and ticked. If not ticked, then tick it and it should then install under Windows. When finished, it should be available to Quicken. Salamat
I'm using Quicken 2007 with WinXP on my Mac. VM is Parallel's v2.5, build 3214 and I have no problem backing up my Quicken data with a 1GHZ USB flash drive. I do not plug in my flash drive until I'm actually ready to do a backup. In fact, I use 2 separate USB flash drives for backup and alternate them. Never had a problem.
Can't backup using Quicken 2009 On my Mac, using Windows 7 with Parallels, and Quicken 2009, release 7. No longer able to backup. I select "Backup" and nothing happens. I set the preference to ask me to backup every time I use it. Then, when I'm prompted to backup, I select the Backup button, it reprompts again. Then I select Backup again and nothing happens. Any ideas?
