I have been using parallels and quickbooks desktop pro for many years and quickbooks seems to run fine except for this one issue: Intuit Data Protect, the app inside quickbooks that allows automatic cloud updates, apparently cannot see the /drive file to back up. I get "Backup encountered System error #1013". I have spent hours with Quickbooks support going through everything, including re-installing Quickbooks. The company file is stored on the Windows local drive in C:\Users\(user name)\Documents\Company Files\QBFile.qbw, and Quickbooks can open it up and use it, but I'm told by Quickbooks support that something in Parallels is preventing Intuit Data Protect from seeing this drive as local. I am running Windows 11 for arm64 based Systems on a M1 Mac. Does anyone else have this problem?

I just went deep into Quickbooks customer support forums and found this:
Requirements to run Intuit Data Protect
    • Intuit Data Protect runs on Windows computers. Windows should be installed natively. This service will not work on virtual environments or Windows Parallel.
So I guess I've wasted hours of my time because quickbooks customer support didn't know this.
