quick partition question before purchase

sorry if this has been posted, but can't seem to find it in the knowledge base, or forum. I just purchased a brand new MBPro 2.3, i7 etc.

It has the 750GB hard drive -

my main question is, do i need to partition before i install parallels, or will it do this for me? Also note, this is a FRESH install, with absolutely nothing on the MBP other than factory stuff, right out of the box. I have a retail version of windows 7 that I was planning to install.

Just to clarify - I think i would do the following steps

1. run the parallels 6 dmg file to begin install -
2. follow on screen prompts
3. then install windows 7?

Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
