Questions from a Newbie

Hi,

I have some serious problems getting started with Parallels. As I am not sure to get answeres from Paralles, here are my questions hoping to get some help from the community:

- My installed build of Parallels 5 for Mac is 5.0.9344. When I check for updates it says I would have the latest build. Only a Germany readme mentions the latest build would be 5.0.9370. Why don't I get the latest build?
- I would like to run Ubuntu, preferably 10.04. The readme says indirectly, that this would be possible "Update Build 5.0.9370 ... OpenGL now works correctly with virtual machines running Ubuntu 10.04." Can anyone give a positive feedback, that it works?
- How does Parallels handle file systems (i.e. NTFS in Windows or ext3/ext4 in Linux). Is this relevant at all in virtual machines? What happens in the background when I exchange files between the Mac OS X 10.6 host system and a Windows XP or a Ubuntu Linux 9.10/10.04 guest system? Are files converted or copied? Can I put all my files created with applications running under different OS in one folder and sync with Dropbox?
