Provide more info while updating

When Parallels offers to update to a new release, after accepting, I'm not seeing any indication of what it's doing or its progress. It just quits and looks like its doing nothing, then finally after a time a message appears, evidently after it has downloaded the new version. Really would like this process to be clearer and more informative.
