Problems with upgrade to 3 - resolved

I've been running parallels on mac for the past 9 months and decided today to take the plunge and upgrade to version 3. While this went relatively smoothly, I was left with a few problems:

1) I could not access the mac hd from the vm. If I click the parallels shared folders icon on the windows desktop, I get a message that \\.psf is inaccessible.

2) Coherence would not work. Clicking the coherence button on the right side of the OS window led to an error message complaining about Parallels Tools. Checking the tools config gave no hint.

Interestingly, though, following about my 5th restart of parallels, it suddenly noted that my tools were still version 2 which was incompatible with v.3 parallels and it upgraded the tools.

Following that, both the shared folders and coherence worked fine.

Thought this might be of interest to other "upgraders."
