For many years, I have used LapLink 11.5 to sync my desktop with my laptop. I recently changed my PC laptop to a MacBook running parallels. I installed LapLink on the MacBook and my desktop can communicate with my Mac book by the LapLink cable.

However, my problem is that I keep the 'My Documents' folder in my parallels shared folders and I can't seem to sync anything in my parallels shared folders with my desktop. In fact, the shared folders networked drive doesn't show up in LapLink. I use shared folders so that I can access the files in ' My Documents' in both MacOs and Windows so I'm hesitant to move them out of there.

Does anyone have any advice as I'm going crazy with my two systems so out of sync!!!

    Thank you very much!

    Hello,

as I understand, this soft requires some Windows OS, so why not try to install it from the windows side and look if it still won't see your shared folders.

    Best regards,
    Alicia.

Thanks for the post Alicia. I had tried that (in that I checked from my desktop if it can see my Macbook's shared folder) and it does not work. Laplink only sees the files on my virtual partition on my Macbook and the shared files just aren't coming up. Thanks for your help!

    Try to do this:
while your LapLink is connected to the Mac, go to Parallels Desktop menu->Devices->Shared Folders and uncheck some of them (folders). Will it become visible for the device?

    Best regards,
    Alicia.
