I am running Parallels 9 with a Windows 8 virtual machine. Loving it! One problem though. I have a Magellan Roadmate 1470 which is not compatible with the Mac. So I successfully installed the Magellan Content Manager in Windows. It recognizes the GPS when connected via USB. But when I try to get a map update, it fails to recognize the GPS (the software tells me to connect the device, even though it is connected). I removed it and plugged it to the USB again. Same result. Even though I select the vm to connect the gps to, the software says that the device is not connected. Any ideas? Thanks!!
