    Hello,

I've just installed Parallels desktop for mac to play an old game (Final Fantasy XI). Everything is working perfectly instead one thing : in this game, you have to hold "control" or "alt" to prompt a shortcut panel to display which you choose action from. The thing is, the panel that should display when holding those keys, well, doesn't display. The shortcut are style working (ALT1 -> 0) and (CTRL1 - > 0) but not showing properly.

I went in Parallels settings, under "Virtual Machine" tab, and tried some shortcut from Mac to > Windows. Just to see if I could find a solution there, I linked "U" and "I" keys on Mac to "Control" and "Alt" on Windows , and with those keys everything in-game was working perfectly as it should. But I want it to work with the "control" and "option" or "command" keys.

    Any idea ?

    Thx :)

    Hello JeremyP13,

To resolve this issue, kindly follow the steps outlined below:
    1. Start Parallels Desktop.
    2. Shut down the Virtual Machine. Make sure that the virtual machine is shut down. If it is in a suspended state, please run it and then shut it down (Actions > Shut Down)
    3. Click on the Parallels icon in the Mac menu bar > Control Center > right-click on the virtual machine > Configure.
    4. Open the configuration of your virtual machine:
    5. Switch to the Hardware tab > Mouse & Keyboard.
    6. Select Keyboard: Optimize for games.
    7. Start your virtual machine.
    8. Check if the issue persists.
    9. If the issue persists, please collect an additional technical report at the moment of issue reproduction (Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and send the report's 9-digit ID as a reply to this post.
