When I try to test a clone to make sure it is viable, I get the following message from WinXP SP2:

"Since Windows was first activated on this computer, the hardware on the computer has changed significantly. Due to these changes, Windows must be reactivated within 2 days. Do you want to reactivate Windows now?"

Is there any way to eliminate this hassle; i.e. make a clone or at least some sort of full, bootable copy that can take the place of the original without going through the reactivation process? I want to run Compressor and attempt to reduce the space allocated to Windows (unfortunately my initial installation was with fixed size partitions), but am afraid to do so until I know I have a viable backup.
