Hi, I have Parallels 8 and two weeks ago I updated my Mac from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and from Lion to Mavericks. I had some problems that i resolved: -I lost the psf folder (resolved renaming my account in the VM as my account in my Mac) -The VM screen resolution that didn't change when I scaled the VM windom (resolved updating the screen driver provided inside the parallels' folders) -When I used the dual screen there were errors with the pointer (resolved changing the screen Hertz from 50 to 60 in the Mac preferences) Now I have another serious problem.. When I resize the VM window (so changing the resolution) I can hear a noise inside my Mac (like a "clack"). I'm worried about that, it's a strange mechanical noise never heard before. Can be associated to a modify that I did? Please help!!
This is a known problem with the audio in the VM. There are a number of threads on it, one of which I started myself. The only known complete solution is to disable audio in the VM configuration. The sound is coming from your speakers, but it sounds like such a loud "crack" so it sounds like it could be something else. Steve
