problem with usb serial converter

Hi @ all,
I've a problem with my usb/serial converter.
When I attached the converter, it cames
detected from my linux,

but I cannot dialogue with the serial device attached
to converter.
If I use the serial device attached directly to one serial port
it works very well.
Where the problem could be ?
