    Hi around,

I'm quite new to Parallels, but used Boot Camp for a long while. Now with my first steps with Parallels in ran into some annoying trouble. I installed on my MacBook (Leo 10.5.5) an OEM-version of Parallels Desktop (I haven't the exact build number in mind, something with a version of Nov. 2007). After installing WIN XP as a guest OS, I wanted to update Parallels to its latest build. I downloaded that build via help/update and received the specific dmg-file. After shutting down Parallels and installing the update I only received an error message from Parallels that the network connection could not be established and proposed to check the configuration - nothing more.

I now have the fear, that after an update generally installed guest OSs won't run properly with its virtual interfaces (Parallel Port, USBs, Networking, etc.). Does anyone know, what has happened?

And a second question: Is it ok, just to download the latest build from the download section (assuminng chosing the right language for the package) and then to install it with my CD key without having installed the prior version from this CD?

    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards
    Michael
