Problem with Parallels, XP and Coherence Anyone else seen this problem? I have XP running in the latest (non-beta) release of Parallels with an application in Coherence mode. After running for a while (the length of time is indeterminant) applications start hanging up both with in Parallels and in OSX itself. I end up having to force shutdown on the system. Anyone else seen this problem?
Similar Problem I have a client who has a Mac Pro with 3 7300GT display adapters, 4 displays, 9 GB of memory. Virtual Machine has 1GB Memory and 32MB Video RAM. He is running XP under Parallels Desktop build 3188 and is having the same problem. In Parallels Multiple Monitors and coherence are checked. Parallels is set up to use three of the four monitors. 1024x1280 - 1600x1200 - 1024x1280. After running for a while running Photoshop CS3 and Bridge on the OS X side and Fidelity Active trader on XP the system will completely lockup. The monitors are arranged in the following set up in OS X. 1024x1280 - 1600x1200 - 1024x1280 1024x768 The OS X menu bar is on the lower monitor. When XP is running performance is less that ideal, probably a combination of limited vieo RAM, 32 MB, and the Parallels Display adapter emulation. Any help would be appreciated.
I found that if I removed the XP task bar and upped the memory to 1500MB then Parallels worked fine with Coherence.. So far.. I'm just watching to see how things go...
