Problem with remote control USB connection

I have been using a Windows 7 BootCamp installation on my Mac to edit a Universal Remote Controls MX-900, which connects to the computer by USB. I installed Parallels Desktop 9 and set it to use the BootCamp installation as the virtual machine. However, the Win 7 virtual machine will not connect the remote control to the MX-900 Editor. (It connects fine when running Windows 7 on BootCamp natively.)

Any suggestions will be appreciated. (I am a Parallels beginner.)
