I have an extra monitor connected to my iMac. When I try to run Parallels in coherence mode, I can not gain control of the Windows mouse pointer and I can't click any Windows buttons. The Windows mouse pointer slowly moves down and to the right, regardless of whether I am moving the mouse or not. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

    Thanks.

That's something weird... Does this happen only with an external monitor, or the same thing happend on the Main one? Do you have Parallels Tools installed in your guest system? What version of Parallels and Windows are you running?

I reinstalled parallel tools and it seems to be working fine now. Maybe I just didn't have that installed in the first place. Thanks.

OK, now I have another question. Like I said before, I have an external monitor connected to my iMac. The max resolution on the iMac is 1680x1050 and the max on the monitor is 1600x1200. When I run it in coherence, the vertical resolution in Windows is limited to the smaller of the two (1050). I can still bring mac apps to the full resolution of the external monitor, just not the windows apps. Is there anything I can do to change this?

Definitely. Just configure your virtual machine to use more Video RAM. It's in the preferences pane of your virtual machine.
I guess it's just not enough to cover your really great :) 1600x1200

I just set the video ram to the max at 32 MB and I am still having the same problem.

And btw, this only happens in coherence. When I have it in full screen mode on that monitor, it is fine.
