Hello, I've run into an odd issue with the 2x application server and printing. When i print from a 2x published application, the default printer for the client is always taken, which results in "printername in session ..." displayed as the default printer. However, there is an issue with page formatting i'm unable to solve, so i have added this printer in the terminal server client session. The printer now shows up as "printername" in 2x printing, and works fine if selected. I'm now trying to make this printer the default printer for this user. It works for a while when i set the default printer in the terminal server session, but the setting seems to be overwritten when the client logs out and logs in again. I tried the different settings in options "print to default printer" and "use the following printer : ..." but this doesn't seem to work. Any ideas on how i can set the printer fixed to the one added on the terminal server for a certain user ? Thank you
I found a solution to this problem. On the Terminal Server, I disabled the shared printers for the client side, as described in this article : http://techrepublic.com.com/5208-6230-0 ... 99&start=0 Then, I added the printers for the user account profile on the Terminal Server and set the default printer to the correct one. Now only the local (correctly working) printers on the terminal server are visible, and it always takes the default one.
