Your prl_disk_tool cannot examine and repair my virtual machine as it thinks it is not stopped. The virtual machine and the parallels desktop are both stopped. When I try and activate the virtual machine it is frozen and does not respond to any commands. I cannot stop it -- the only way I know to stop it requires opening it and it will not open. How do I recover from this? The virtual machine was working fine before the last Windows update but I have not been able to use it since the update was applied. Here is the error message I get when I try and use your prl_disk_tool: | => prl_disk_tool check --hdd /Users/bill/Documents/Parallels/Windows\ 10\ Virtual\ Machine.pvm/Windows\ 7\ Ultimate-0.hdd Unable to perform the operation because the virtual machine that uses this disk is not stopped. Shut down the virtual machine and try again.
