printing with windows guest VM under linux

I've just installed Parallels on my Mandriva 2006 linux OS. Everthing is fine except that i cannot install a printer.

When I go to the "add new printer" wizard in windows xp, I select "install network printer." If I Brose for a printer, I get my linux Samba network listed, but no printers are listed. When I type in the name of the printer manually, I get the "Windows cannot connect to this printer message."

I have two printers connected, an HP LaserJet 1200 (parallel port) and an Epsonscx6600 (usb). Both work fine under linux

If I try to add a parallel port for the HP, no printers are listed in the dropdown list. If I enter the printer location manually, I get "no printer selected" message. So I haven't been able to try connecting directly to the parallel port.

Neither printer will install using the "install network printer" procedures in Windows XP.

For what it is worth--I also have Win4Lin Pro installed, and had no trouble setting up a printer with it.

Any help would be appreceiated
