Working on iMac with Parallels 8 and Windows 7, with wireless printer (HP) on network. When I print a document in Word 2010 in Windows in Parallels to the printer, it shrinks the content, making a much bigger margin at the top than that set in Word. The side and bottom margins are the correct size. This is definitely not a printer issue: exactly the same thing happened with my last printer (Brother) which was connected to the Mac via a USB cable. It does not happen when printing from Excel, PowerPoint or any other Windows applications. I have set all the printing preferences to A4 and changed the printer register entry from letter to A4 as described in http://bit.ly/18tHrbS but this has not helped. This also does not happen when printing from the Windows PC on the network. The only way I can print Word documents via Windows on my iMac exactly as seen on the screen is by creating a PDF first and printing that. Not good. Any ideas? Many thanks.
