I cannot go forward with the installation of Windows XP in Parallels because of the need to press F8 to accept or ESC to not accept. F8 toggles the keyboard light, whether I am in the Parallels window or out of the window. Any solutions to this? I have Japanese language turned on but I am not in Japanese when doing this. I have the US Extended language chosen. Thanks, Hank Lee Japan
You'll need to press fn and F8 to use the function key. That will get you on to the rest of the install. Good luck. Mike
If you use function keys a lot, it helps to go into the Mac's Keyboard & Mouse preferences and set the option that makes you need to use the Fn key to use the screen and sound controls, instead of having to use it to work the function keys.
