When Parallels is running in the background and I am working in OS X, pressing the power button makes Parallels the active application. I want to be able to open the window with options for Shut Down, Restart, etc but this becomes inactive because Parallels is active. Is it possible to disable the power button causing Parallels to be the active application?
    thanks
    Ken

I am the OP. A bit more info: I realized that this only happens in Coherence mode: pressing the power button or selecting Restart from the Apple menu brings the Parallels Desktop app to the front but without a window. The Shutdown/Restart window is then visible but not active.
