Hi Everyone, These issues with PD4 are getting very tiresome. So far, I have had to rebuild my boot camp partition 4 times, and actually reinstall OS X once due to errors caused with PD 4.0 crashing. I think I may have isolated the cause, and my installation maybe stable now. Every time I attempt to download this file: http://www.microsoft.com/express/download/default.aspx#webInstall both the Mac and the Boot Camp VM freezes. This past time, the host OS recovered after about 8 minutes. Each time I have set this stuff back up, I used 2 cores in the VM. This last time, I only enabled 1 core, and the VM seems to be much more stable. So, if are having some system stability problems, try going back down to a singe core in the VM. This has seemed to work for me. However, there is another critical issue which I have yet been able to figure out how to fix. After my Boot Camp partition freezes in PD 4.0, chkdsk will no longer run at startup. I have no idea how to fix this, except to re-install Vista (again!).
