So, I'm not a power user but am forced to use windows for one app only related to work. In the older build (185X?) I lost the ability to print from OSX to some printers but the got the VM printing to work pretty well. Just purchased a new HP6180 and suddenly all my printing problems are gone. Go figure.

My question is this: I have downoaded build 1922 on a MBP 15" 2GH with 1GB of RAM and have allocated 512k to the virtual machine as seems to be recommended. When I have a couple of apps running under OSX (entourage, palm desktop, camino for example) and then turn on the virtual machine the entire computer runs so slowly - on both OS's - that I have taken to shutting down all my OSX apps whenever I am going to use the VM. This causes the VM to run much better and load more quickly. It's also pretty inconvenient and not, I hope, what the designers of Parallels had in mind as an optimal approace to using their software.

Is this simply a matter of installling more RAM in the physical machine or am I doing something else wrong? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

That is the dumbest question I have ever read.

    Just jokin'.;-)

A lot of Mac users report that 2Gb is actually optimal on OSX. I think you are correct when you say, is it just a matter of purchasing more ram. Fortunately, ram is reasonably cheap nowadays.

    Have a good day.
