For example - if I double click a .xls file that is on my MAC OS X desktop - is it possible to make that file open with excel in parallels? I know I can drag the file into a folder in parallels then double click it - but was just wondering if it was possible to make my life easier? Thanks, Josh
So this might be a bit easier: With Excel running in XP in Parallels, drag an Excel data file from somewhere in OS X (Finder, Desktop, etc) onto the running Excel window, and it opens the Excel file. Presto. It's Real Easy if you have a dual monitor config, the screen gets a bit cluttered on my 15" MBP, but still doable. I tried to open Excel in XP in Parallels, which yields an Excel icon in the dock, then drop the .xls file from the OS X desktop onto that Parallels/XP/Excel dock icon, but that would be too good to be true, so of course it didn't work.
