Does anyone experience this? Guest Win XP obtain ip settings from DHCP server, which is a router in my case, without any problem. Guest machine can ping Host MacOX's ip immediate. BUT not the router, it may OR may not be able to ping it after a prolong period. i.e. no internet access Leaving all parallels and mac settings the same, I change the Guest win XP to using static ip, I can ping router immediately i.e. internet access as soon as I change to static ip OR start Guest XP with static IP setting. Please confirm it is a bug.
In my case, for all beta versions through RC2, an XP guest gets an IP assigned via DHCP, but only after a while (10's of minutes maybe) or I manually ipconfig /release and /renew. A linux guest will never get a dhcp assigned address, but If I manually assign one, networking work fine. I'd also like to see this issue acknowledged, or someone tell me I'm on crack and show me how to fix this. thanks charles
