I am using built 1884, same problem with 1848. have Mac Pro, 6 GB memory installed, but bootargs set to 2GB with -legacy set. I have this same problem regardless of -legacy setting. Problem is that I'm trying to run Pixmantec Raw Shooter Premium (RSP). It's a camera raw file editing program. RSP installed without problems, but when I try to open the app, nothing happens. I get a hour glass very briefly, less than 1/2 second or so. The app doesn't open and doesn't show on the Windows task list, so it isn't hung. It either doesn't open at all, or terminates very soon. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this to find out what is happening? Any work around suggestions? other software I run is OK, Quicken 2006, stamps.com postage printing, and Qimage, and image printing program. There are other raw editors out there, but I like this one the best and want to get it running. thanks in advance for any help.
