iMac 27-inch Quad-Core i7 2.80GHz 8GB memory 1TB hard drive HP 1022 monochrome laser printer connected directly to the Mac via USB. All OS X and Windows printing and sharing settings conform to the Parallels knowledge base directions. OS X 10.8 Parallels Desktop 7 For Mac Build 7.0.15104 (Revision 778994; July 10, 2012) This problem has persisted since PD5. From time to time, an update or upgrade of either PD or OS X results in the printing services either halting or being degraded. I installed OS X 10.8 three days ago on Friday. All OS X print services remained intact. I attempted to print from Sage 50 (formerly Peachtree Complete Accounting). The output contained Courier formatted text, instead of the Arial typeface that I had selected in Sage 50. This is one of the aforementioned effects that have previously occurred. I accessed Windows Settings --> Printers and Faxes. I examined the settings of the selected driver and could not determine a cause of the problem. I selected a different driver. The printed output is now correct, however, the printer does not commence printing, and the orange lamp flashes continuously, until I press the green start button. Furthermore, I must press the green start button for every page in the document. This too, has occurred previously. I could not find a solution. I just switched windows print drivers. I had three print drivers as a result of Parallels technical support providing telephone assistance to me a couple of years ago. I want to use one driver that works properly. Is anyone familiar with both the typeface problem after a software upgrade, and the press start to commence printing problem after a software upgrade? Thank you. Kurt Todoroff [email protected]
