One of the key reasons for having the Parallels VM on my iMac is to be able to print documents from certain applications that relate to flight navigation software. But, I can't do it for two reasons. Both the memory card reader I use (called Jeppesen Skybound) and the printer (an HP psc1350) are USB devices. Both are recognized by OS X, though the card reader won't do much because the programming software for the data cards is Windows only. Both work just fine in XP on other machines, or in BootCamp on this one. Neither device works in the XP VM. For the printer I get a "device cannot start" message, following an install error for new hardware; I don't seem to be able to uninstall either--unplugging or "disconnecting" the printer does not seem to fix this problem. For the card reader I get a "device is being used by another program" error--presumably, OS X is holding on to this somehow, though again I try connecting and disconnecting.

Did you ever find a solution for this?
