When I first installed RC1, my new macbook had only 512MB of RAM, so I was happy to comply with PD's maximum recommended VM RAM allocation of 132MB. Now that I've upgraded to 2GB, I upped my VM to 512MB, but had to reduce it back to 132MB. At 512MB, XP was completely unusable. It boots, but it immediately consumes 100% CPU. With a lot of patience, I could get the task manager up, but that's just about the only task I could accomplish.

Why is the recommended maximum 132MB? Is the performance problem that I encountered already understood? Will the GA release support more than 132MB of RAM for VMs?

Heh, nevermind. I increased the global memory partition size and this problem went away.
