After I upgraded from PD7 to PD8 I was pleasantly suprised that parallels no longer installs launch services and symlinks into /System/Library/Extensions. That means, nothing from PD8 is in memory when system starts and is loaded only when PD8 app is started. Previously I was manually disabling these services, removing symlinks and I used a shell script to start these when I needed them. It got tedious after each update, so for me, this is great news. Great work, Parallels!
