Under PD6, I was able to start a VM in full screen mode and bind that VM to a particular desktop under Mission Control. On my MacBook Pro, I bound the full screen VM window to Desktop 2. This allowed me to press Ctrl+2 to quickly switch to my VM.

Under PD7, a VM running in full screen creates an extra desktop under Mission Control. This full screen desktop cannot be bound to a hot key so quickly switching to the VM via Ctrl+# key is no longer possible.

Is there any way to bind a full screen VM under PD7 to a particular desktop?

I had the same problem when I first switched to PD7, but I found a post that explained how to fix it. Unfortunately, in a hardware upgrade, I broke my setup and I couldn't find the post again. However, I had one VM that still worked the way you want (i.e., VM stays on the same desktop when you switch to full screen) and I figured out what config-file setting seems to be responsible for that.

It's UseNativeFullScreen, and you want to set it to 0. (Setting of 1 seems to mean "create a new Mission Control desktop and put the VM there when you switch to full screen.")
