    Hi there,

I just installed Win7 Professional X64 under PD6. After Parallels Tools installation the Mouse was dead and Hardware Manger (Windows 7) shows errors with the mouse drivers and mouse synchronization drivers.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

    Thank you,
    Stevie

    Stephan,

Could you double click on failed devices and see what errors are reported? We'd appreciate if you post Device Manager screenshots here. Also please generate Problem Report from Parallels Help menu and post report ID here too.

    Hi,

I checked the devices. All three failed with Code39-errors. The failed devices are:

    HID-konforme Maus
    Parallels Mouse Synchronization Device
    Parallels USB Mouse Synchronization Device

Do you know a service called "superfetch"? In the event log is an error logged stating that a file is missing.

    Best regards,
    Stevie

  5. Hello, Stephen!

actually you do not need superfetch service. If my memory does not fail me this is a kind of data pre-fetcher for HDD. It does not improve performance inside Parallels VM.

For the dead keyboard/mouse issue. Could you please set the following boot flags (Virtual Machine->Configure->Boot Order->Boot flags):
    devices.usb.enable_mouse=0;devices.usb.enable_keyboard=0

Please let me know if this will help you.

Thanks you for the report and best regards.
