Having spent my money on the latest upgrade, I really didn't expect to have to revert back to the previous version, just because I cant type {,[,] or } on my Macbook Pro with French keyboard. Or have I missed something essential ??
Hello, Please try the following article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4940 Please inform us about the results.
similar problem I have the same problem, but i am using Polish version of Windows. There are 9 specific Polish letters which are ussually accessed by AltGr + "letter". In Microsoft it is called Polish Programmers Keyboard layout. It is commonly used even if different than official Polish ISO standard. So we use: AltGr + a for ą AltGr + c for ć AltGr + e for ę AltGr + l for ł AltGr + n for ń AltGr + o for ó AltGr + s for ś AltGr + z for ż AltGr + x for ź Of course we need them with Shift modifier to get capital letters. My problem with PD4.0 is that there is no way to access AltGr any more. I am using 2007 version of MacBook Pro - it does not have right Alt key. There is "Numeric keyboard Enter" instead. There was an option in previous version of Parallels Desktop to map this key into AltGr. That worked just great. In new version of PD there are now a lot of options to map keys individualy. I tried to map this key into AltGr. But everytime when i set anything into AltGr i found it is changed automatically into ordinary Alt !!? Why? Using Ctrl+Alt instead of AltGr is not a solution. There are a lot of applications which map out such keys (eg. Microsoft Office) for their own purpouses. Any solution other than going back to Parallels Desktop 3.0? Andy
We are aware about this case, and working to fix situation (AltGR mapping) Please check our website for update
