My VM (XP Pro) froze in the middle of doing stuff, solid, alt+tab wouldn't switch, CTL+ALT+DEL didn't help either - got the Task Manager but couldn't click anything. Argh, I had a few hours invested and didn't want to lose it. I suspected prl_cc.exe, but no way to kill it. As a last resort, I tried Suspend, then Resume. Worked! VM came back, accepted input, acted normally, didn't even need to kill prl_cc.exe. YMMV.
